FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about our hot-dip galvanizing process, applicable standards, material scope, and how we support your project from preparation through handover.

Hot-dip galvanizing is a process where steel is immersed in molten zinc at around 450°C, forming a metallurgically bonded zinc-iron alloy coating. This provides cathodic protection that actively prevents corrosion even when the coating is scratched or damaged, giving structural steel a service life of 25 years or more in most environments.

Our galvanizing process is aligned to ASTM A123 for structural steel and fabricated products, ASTM A153 for hardware and fasteners, and ISO 1461 for general galvanizing. Coating thickness is verified by calibrated measurement, with visual inspection and full QA/QC documentation provided as standard.

We galvanize a wide range of fabricated steel including structural sections, pipe supports, gratings, platforms, towers, transmission structures, and marine components. Parts are assessed for suitability prior to processing, with pre-treatment recommendations provided where necessary.

Share your steel specifications, quantities, and required standards. We will review the scope, confirm coating and inspection requirements, and provide a practical turnaround window with full documentation for project handover.
